Paul
Wingard is grateful to be alive and to be able to share his story about how a
farm accident – which could have been prevented – impacted his and his family's
lives.
Wingard is a motivational safety speaker who will share
his message in a special presentation 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Amish Community Building, 5917 W. Mills Ave.
The free presentation is open to the public.
Wingard became disabled, losing both legs, in a farm
accident when a bottle ruptured that he was transferring gas into. His goal is
to challenge the audience to consider how it would affect them and their
family's lives if they were to become disabled because of taking shortcuts,
motivating them to place a high priority on safety.
