The Neosho County,
Kansas Sheriff’s Office in currently investigating the disappearance of 10
cow/calf pairs from the area of 2743 160th Road, near Chanute, Kansas. The description
of the cattle are as follows:
seven black cows, a Charolais, a red Hereford Cross,
and a Charolais Cross.
Each missing cow has with her a fall calf which would
weigh about 300 pounds. They don't have any brands or tags or any specific
markings. They are missing from a pasture 10 miles SW of Chanute.
A bull was also missing but was located in
the neighbors pasture. The Sheriff’s Office has made numerous
searches in the local area but have been unable to locate them. They are
wild and were last seen around February 7th.
It is undetermined at this point if they
were stolen or just missing at this time.
